About
In under four years I have gone from the 2'3" to top 6 finish at Junior Hunter Finals and qualifying for all 3'3" equitation medal finals
As a junior from Dallas, Texas, I have been fortunate to train under the guidance of Jen & Frank Madden at Capital Hill. In four years I have transformed from competing in the 2'3" to winning at prestigious venues in the 3'3" junior hunters and 3'6" equitation, including a top 6 overall finish at Junior Hunter Finals.
While I have been riding since I was seven, it wasn't until four years ago where I began competitively competing on the A circuit. In those three years, I have had experience riding a variety of horses including the opportunity to bring a green horse along to win at top venues. I began competing in the equitation aboard numerous rides and in junior hunters aboard my steadfast partner, Ruby Tuesday ("Ruby"). Together, Ruby and I have accomplished many of my goals including qualifying and competing at Junior Hunter Finals. There we were 4th in the handy and finished 6th overall. Along with numerous championships, we have produced many top 5 classic placings with scores in the high 80s. We have also had many top 5 USHJA National Hunter Derby finishes out of 40+ junior and professional riders. We have also qualified for Capital Challenge and Harrisburg in the junior hunters (2024). Now in 2025, we are currently ranked in the top 10 in the country. In the equitation ring this year, I have qualified for the USHJA Hunt Seat Medal Finals, NHS Hamel Medal Finals, and Jump Seat Medal Finals (2025). Most recently, we finished Desert International Horse Park Reserve Circuit Champion in the 3'3" Junior Hunters.
Academically, I take my studies very seriously and maintain a weighted GPA of 4.73 and as of Spring 2025 ranked top 35 out of 640+ students. Due to my determination in the classroom, I have been awarded the Renaissance Honor Roll both freshman and sophomore years, Devotion to Orchestra Award, and Top 5 Math Student during my freshman year. I have also recently been recognized as a candidate for the National Honor Society and a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. I plan to study Animal Science or take a Pre-Vet track in college in order to pursue veterinary school.
I aim to blend my love for horses and competing at a high level with my academic goals, hoping to ride for a Division I college team. I believe my strengths in and out of the saddle will prove to be valuable to any collegiate team I pursue.
